Talk Information:
In this talk, I discuss why social systems are inherently complex and the implications for policymaking. I will present different approaches that help us study the evolution of institutions on the basis of individual and collective actions and will examine some examples in detail. Examples include public education in Egypt and the political and economic crisis in Lebanon.
