Sandew Hira, penname of Dew Baboeram, is director of the Institute for Scientific Research (IISR) in The Hague. IISR is an institute for research into Decolonizing The Mind. IISR publishes a book series title Decolonizing The Mind with Amrit Publishers. Stephen Small (University of California Berkeley) and Arzu Merali (Islamic Human Rights Commission) are co-editors of the series. Hira is secretary of the Decolonial International Network Foundation (DIN). Hira studied economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam in Holland. He has written 16 books on different topics among them colonial history. His forthcoming book is titled Decolonizing The Mind: A guide to decolonial theory and practice (Amrit Publisher, December 2022).
