BIOGRAPHY:
Sinfree Makoni is a professor at the Pennsylvania State University. He has previously taught at a number of universities in Southern Africa. He holds a number of honorary appointments in Southern Africa. He has published extensively in the areas of language and security, language and health, language policy and planning and decoloniality and Southern Epistemologies. His recent books include "Innovations and Challenges to Applied Linguistics from the Global South", co-authored with Alastair Pennycook.
